Yes; Two Ways to Bail Yourself Out
Option 1: Cash Bail (Pay Full Amount)
If you have access to the full bail amount, you can post cash bail directly. Some jails accept cash at the booking window; others require payment through the Clerk of Court. The full amount is refunded (minus court fees) when your case concludes, as long as you attend all court dates.
Option 2: Call a Bail Bondsman From Jail
Most Florida jails have phones available for inmates. You can call a bail bondsman directly and arrange a bail bond over the phone. You'll need someone on the outside to:
- Meet with the bondsman or complete paperwork digitally
- Pay the 10% premium
- Sign the indemnity agreement
Call QuickBail at (941) 477-6888 from the jail phone; we can coordinate with someone you designate on the outside.
What If You Don't Have Anyone to Help?
If you're alone and can't afford cash bail, your options include:
- Public defender; Request one at your first appearance; they can argue for reduced bail or ROR
- ROR (Release on Own Recognizance); The judge may release you without bail for minor charges
- Pretrial release program; Some Florida counties offer supervised pretrial release as an alternative to bail
