Riverview is an unincorporated community in southern Hillsborough County with over 90,000 residents. There is no city government or police department. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) provides all law enforcement. All arrests book at either the Orient Road Jail or Falkenburg Road Jail in Tampa, about 20-30 minutes north.
Riverview is one of the fastest-growing communities in the Tampa Bay area, stretching along US-301 and Boyette Road south of Brandon. The FishHawk Ranch and Riverview Town Center developments have added significant population. HCSO's District IV covers Riverview. The Bloomingdale and Lithia areas border Riverview and use the same jail system. For full Tampa jail details, see our Tampa bail bonds page.
HCSO's District IV station covers Riverview and the surrounding areas including Brandon, Valrico, and Lithia. District IV is one of the busiest districts in Hillsborough County due to rapid population growth. The district station at 508 Vonderburg Drive in Brandon handles initial processing. For arrest inquiries, call HCSO at (813) 247-8200.
The Alafia River runs through Riverview, with parks and natural areas along its banks. Alafia River State Park to the east sees recreational activity that occasionally results in arrests. Riverview's location along US-301 also makes it a corridor for traffic enforcement. All Hillsborough County cases are heard at the courthouse in downtown Tampa.
Surety bonds (10% non-refundable premium) and cash bonds are accepted. Bonding agents must be registered with the Hillsborough County Clerk of Court. Call (941) 477-6888 to reach a registered Hillsborough County bondsman who can post at the facility.
All arrests in these cities are processed through the county jail. The booking and bail process described above applies to every one of them.
