Florida Statute 812.13"'Robbery' means the taking of money or other property... from the person or custody of another, with intent to either permanently or temporarily deprive the person... when in the course of the taking there is the use of force, violence, assault, or putting in fear."
Degrees of Robbery
- Simple robbery — No weapon, no significant injury: 2nd degree felony (up to 15 years)
- Robbery with a weapon — 1st degree felony (up to 30 years)
- Robbery with a firearm — 1st degree felony PBL with 10-20-Life minimums
- Home invasion robbery — 1st degree felony PBL (up to life)
Bail
Simple robbery: $25,000–$75,000. Armed robbery: $75,000–$250,000+. Home invasion: $100,000–$500,000.
