Bail Bond Refunds Explained

Is the 10% Premium Refundable?

No. The 10% bail bond premium is the bondsman's fee for posting bail. It is earned at the time the bond is posted and is non-refundable, regardless of the case outcome.

What About Cash Bail?

If you paid the full cash bail directly to the court (not through a bondsman), that money is refundable when the case concludes — minus any court costs, fines, or fees assessed.

Collateral Returns

Any collateral provided (property deeds, car titles, jewelry) must be returned within 21 days of the bond being discharged under Florida law.
