Arrested in Pensacola? Escambia County has a three-facility system. All bookings go to the Main Jail on N. Pace Blvd. Florida's westernmost circuit.
Escambia County operates a three-facility system in and around Pensacola:
Pensacola is in the 1st Judicial Circuit, the westernmost circuit in all of Florida. It covers Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties. Pensacola is closer to Mobile, Alabama (60 miles) than to Tallahassee (200 miles), and the legal culture in the Panhandle region reflects this geographic isolation from the rest of the state.
The 1st Circuit has its own set of administrative orders governing bail, pretrial release, and first appearance procedures. These can differ from the practices you might be familiar with in South or Central Florida.
Pensacola is home to Naval Air Station Pensacola, one of the Navy's most important training facilities. Military personnel arrested off-base go through the same Escambia County booking and bail process as civilians. However, military arrests have additional layers:
Bondsmen in Pensacola are accustomed to military-connected cases. Call (941) 477-6888 for a registered Escambia County agent.
Escambia County does not allow traditional in-person visits at the Main Jail. All family visits are conducted through the Video Visitation Center at 1190 W. Leonard Street. This is a separate building from the jail. Visits must be scheduled in advance, and the system has specific hours. Call 850-436-9961 for scheduling.
A licensed Escambia County bondsman is standing by to post at the N. Pace Blvd Main Jail.
