Brian Galvan is the founder and Technology Director of QuickBail. With a background in computer science and over a decade building scalable web platforms and AI-driven systems, Brian designed and built the technology that powers QuickBail's lead routing, voice agents, and bondsman network.
The Reason We're Here
QuickBail didn't start as a business plan. It started with a phone call.
A few years ago, someone close to me got arrested. It was late, it was sudden, and like most people in that situation, I had no idea what to do next. I started calling bail bond companies and quickly realized something: the process was a mess. Some places didn't pick up. Others picked up and immediately tried to pressure me into decisions I wasn't ready to make. Pricing was vague. Information was inconsistent. And the whole time, the clock was ticking on someone I cared about sitting in a cell.
I eventually got the situation handled, but I couldn't shake the experience. I'm a technology guy by training and trade. I build systems for a living, and I kept thinking: this entire process is broken in ways that technology could actually fix. Not because bondsmen are bad at their jobs. Most of them I've met since are exactly the people you'd want answering that call. But the system connecting families to those bondsmen is stuck in 1995.
Families shouldn't be cold-calling a list of phone numbers at two in the morning, hoping someone picks up. Good bondsmen shouldn't be losing leads to bigger competitors with bigger ad budgets. And nobody in a moment of crisis should have to figure out who to trust on their own.
So I built QuickBail. The platform connects people who need a bail bond with licensed, vetted bondsmen in their county, fast, free for the consumer, and without the runaround. Behind the scenes, our technology routes calls intelligently, qualifies leads, and gets the right person on the phone with the right bondsman within minutes. For the bondsmen in our network, it means fewer missed calls and more time spent doing what they're licensed to do.
We're still early. We're still building. But the reason we're here hasn't changed: the bail process is one of the worst experiences a family can go through, and it's our job to make at least one part of it easier.
Background
Trained in computer science, Brian spent over a decade building web platforms, backend systems, and AI-powered tools before turning his attention to the bail industry. After a personal experience navigating the bail bond process firsthand, and seeing how broken it was for families in crisis, he set out to build the kind of platform he wished had existed when he needed one.
Today, Brian leads all technology, product, and platform decisions at QuickBail. He architected the company's full stack from the ground up: a fast, modern web frontend; a custom-built backend running on a dedicated VPS infrastructure with MySQL; and an AI engine that ties together voice agents, intelligent call routing, and lead qualification in real time. The result is a platform that connects families to licensed bondsmen in seconds, while giving the bondsmen in QuickBail's network a steady, qualified flow of leads in the counties they serve.
Brian writes regularly about the technology behind QuickBail, the realities of the bail industry, and the broader question of how technology can serve people in moments of genuine crisis, without making things worse. His work draws on both technical expertise and lived experience with the system he's working to improve.
The Technology Behind QuickBail
Every layer of the QuickBail platform was chosen and built deliberately to serve one goal: connect people in a moment of crisis with the right licensed bail bondsman as fast as possible.
🖥️ The Frontend
Built with HTML, CSS, and Tailwind, optimized for speed, clarity, and mobile-first performance. The vast majority of visitors are on a phone, often under stress, often in the middle of the night. Pages load fast. Calls to action are obvious. Friction is stripped out wherever we find it.
⚙️ The Backend
Runs on a dedicated VPS infrastructure with MySQL, giving full control over performance, security, and data integrity. The backend manages bondsman onboarding, county and territory mapping, lead distribution, call records, and real-time routing logic.
🤖 The AI Engine
Powered by Vapi, Twilio, and Gemini. AI agents engage callers immediately, confirming county, situation details, and the basic information a bondsman needs to act. ElevenLabs voices give agents a natural, human-quality voice because callers deserve better than a robotic phone tree.
🔀 Intelligent Routing
Once a lead is qualified, the system identifies licensed bondsmen in the network who serve that county, applies routing rules, and connects the caller directly to the right bondsman, fast, free, and with all relevant context already captured.
